GUATEMALA 2017 - JULY 14-24
We have a wonderful opportunity to bless another local church body through a short-term trip to Guatemala. This ministry is in partnership with Northlake Community Church, which has sent teams over the last three years to a church in rural Arenales, Guatemala. Last year our own
Stephen Ignac joined them to pour a cement floor over the dirt floor in the church. This year a team will head down to help the Arenales church by pouring a cement floor in the kitchen area and providing ventilation to an open fireplace in the kitchen, as well as running electrical circuits in the mission house where the team will stay.
We are hoping to send six adults (18+) from Grace to join with others from Northlake to help in this area. As you can tell, it is a work trip. There will be some limited sightseeing opportunities at the Mayan ruins in Huehue (about an hour from the church), but our heart is to bless the local church in improving their worship facility. The cost will be around $1,500 per person, raised individually; our church will also send a gift to the local church there.
Interested? Here’s how to get involved:
Pray. Pray for the team that will go down; pray about joining them.
Talk to Stephen Ignac. He will lead the team from our church and, has been on this very trip last year. He’ll be in both services, or email him at email@example.com.
Though the trip is in July, we will be having planning and training sessions starting in February (beginning with a mandatory meeting on February 12).
